The 2025 ASB Conference will be held at the Sofitel on Queensland's Gold Coast

Mark your calendars and dust off your best aprons—Australia’s premier baking industry event is back and bigger than ever.

The Australian Society of Baking (ASB) has officially announced the first details of its Annual Conference and Dinner, set to take place on October 14–15, 2025, at the Sofitel Broadbeach on Queensland’s Gold Coast.

This year’s theme is “Golden opportunities, bold innovation, and brilliant baking”.

ASB Conference Committee Chair Imran Ibrahim said the 2025 event was already shaping up to be a showstopper.

“We’ve locked in six top-tier industry experts who will deliver cutting-edge presentations on everything from food safety to product innovation,” Imran shared.

“It’s all about keeping your bakery ahead of the curve.”

Expect a dynamic lineup of sessions that blend technology, trends, and transformation—designed to inspire bakers, business owners, and innovators alike.

But that’s not all.

The excitement will begin the night before the conference with the Scholarship Toast, a brand-new networking event. Held at the Sofitel, this elegant evening will honour the Australian Scholarship Regional Winners—and set the stage for the big reveal.

At the official Conference Dinner, two standout talents will be crowned National Scholarship Award Winners, each receiving a five-day trip to the San Francisco Baking Institute in 2026.

In a delicious twist, 2025 will also debut a mini-tradeshow featuring sponsors and speakers. This interactive space is designed to spark cross-industry collaboration, showcase innovative products, and connect attendees with the latest tools shaping the future of baking.

Entries for the Australian Baking Industry National Scholarship Awards close August 15, so get your applications in!

More details on speakers, sessions, and registration will be released closer to the date. In the meantime, ASB members can register their interest now on Australian Society of Baking website
