For the second year in a row Adelaide’s Finest Supermarkets has come out on top in the Professional Baking competition at the Royal Adelaide Show.
The supermarket brought home a number of gold medals including Best Croissant – repeating their 2024 win. The supermarket’s croissant entry was also awarded the Champion Product of the Show title.
The store shared the news on Facebook, writing “The awards validate the hard work of our expert pâtissiers who can be seen working daily in our Pasadena glass cube production facility – the only working patisserie inside a supermarket in the country.”
“Our award-winning croissant includes 27 layers of pastry and is incredibly labour intensive to produce.
“Our head baker Peter and his team work relentlessly in pursuit of perfection and the awards celebrate their commitment to continually improving the quality of our bread every day.
“Our patisserie teams also won prizes for [their] beautiful submissions.”
In addition to the Champion Product of the Show, Adelaide’s Finest Supermarkets also won the Light Rye Loaf, Sourdough Bread, Baguette, Ciabatta, Decorated Eclairs, and Vanilla Slice – innovative base category.
Banana Boogie Bakery, Bake Bakery, Crafers Bakehouse, Sucre Patisserie and Orange Spot Bakery all also took home gold medals at the Adelaide Royal Show.
Banana Boogie Bakery was also awarded the MOI International Prize Highest Marks for Apprentice/Trainee/TAFE student prize, while Bake Bakery won The UNOX Prize Apprentice Special Incentive Award.
