The Perth Royal Food Awards are set to take place once again in 2026, with the full calendar for entry and judging recently announced.

An initiative of the Royal Agricultural Society of WA, the Perth Royal Food Awards have become a benchmark in the state for quality products.

The 2026 program will once again span eight competitions across a diverse range of food and beverage categories, including bread and pastry, chocolate, dairy, smallgoods, branded meats, wine, beer, and distilled spirits.

Royal Agricultural Society of WA’s Food & Beverage ambassador Alex Crisp said at its heart the Perth Royal Food Awards are about the people behind the product.

” …the farmers, makers, distillers and brewers who pour years of knowledge and care into what they create,” he said.

“The awards give those stories a platform , celebrating not just exceptional flavour, but the craft, culture and community that sit behind our food and beverage industry.

“As consumers become increasingly interested in where their food and drink comes from, the Perth Royal Food Awards offer a trusted guide, highlighting products that have been assessed on merit alone.

Royal Agricultural Society of WA chief executive officer Robyn Serman said for producers, the awards provide meaningful recognition, credible marketing value and exposure to new audiences.

“For consumers, they offer confidence at the point of purchase, whether choosing a locally brewed beer, a family-made cheese, or an award-winning cut of meat,” she said.

In 2025, 326 exhibitors showcased 2312 products at the competition across hundreds of categories, with a total of 93 Champion Trophies and 330 Gold, 612 Silver and 728 Bronze Medals awarded.

In the 2025 Bread and Pastry Awards Big Loaf Factory was crowned Most Successful Bread Exhibitor after taking home two gold medals. Miami Bakehouse took home the Most Successful Pastry Exhibitor title after claiming four gold medals, while rising star Nicola Ellis, also from Miami Bakehouse, was awarded Most Successful Apprentice Exhibitor and Champion Loaf Exhibited by an Apprentice for her standout Vienna Loaf.

Entries for the Bread and Pastry Awards will be open from March 20-May 20, with judging set to take place on June 24, 2026. For the chocolate competition entries will be open from April 9 until May 15, with judging taking place on June 16, 2026.
