The highly anticipated 2025 Queensland Baking Show returned once again.

On May 14 bakers from around the state headed to the TAFE South Brisbane campus to take part. The baking show also marked the final chance for bakers to win free entry into the Baking Association of Australia’s Triple Crown competition.

The Queensland Baking Show consisted of 24 classes, including 680g white square loaf condensed square, ciabatta loaf, gourmet pull apart, vanilla slice, plain traditional beef pie, and gourmet pies.

The Queensland Baking Show Perpetual Trophy was awarded to Luke Moy from Woolworths Tweed City, while the Champion Loaf of the Show went to Connor McNaught from Uncle Bobs Bakery for his ciabatta loaf. He also won the 450g five strand plait and 680g sourdough rye categories. Leon Ly from LTT Patisserie won Champion Cake/Pastry of the Show for his vanilla slice.

Last year’s Champion Cake/ Pastry of the Show winner, The Squealing Pig claimed first and second place in the Gourmet Pie category as well as first place in the sausage roll category.
