The 2025 Australian Society of Baking (ASB) regional scholarship winners have been announced.

The lists of regional scholarship winners were released this week ahead of the announcement of the national winners at the ASB National Conference next week.

The 2025 Sydney J Packham Baking Industry Medal regional scholarship winners are:

• Rebecca Tracey, SA – Western Region
• Carla Penza, NSW – Eastern Region
• Xavier McBean, Vic – Southern Region

The 2025 Arthur E Denison Trophy regional scholarship winners are:

• Ruwan Colombage, Vic – Southern Region
• Angie Tjandra, NSW – Eastern Region
• Glen Stoddart, WA – Western Region
• Rodney Stanaway, Qld – Northern Region

All of the regional winners will travel to the Gold Coast on October 12 for their five day, four night scholarship adventure. The the two national winners will be announced at the ASB Chairman’s Dinner on October 15.

As part of their major prize, the two national winners will travel to the US to attend a course at the San Francisco Baking Institute in 2026.

• Brianna Foster, New South Wales

Arthur E Denison Trophy:

• Katrina Wong, New South Wales
• Kerry Yacoumis, South Australia
• Naomi Cocksedge, New South Wales
• Prajjwal Khadka, Victoria
• Vikramaditya Sreeeman, Victoria

The Australian Baking Industry National Scholarship Awards (ABINSA) were established in 1991 by the Australian Society of Baking with the aim of providing a national competition that promotes thought, discussion, debate and action on key issues that will affect the industry.
