SUMMARY:AUSPACK postponed to 2022 and relocated to Melbourne
DESCRIPTION:After careful consideration\, the APPMA Board has made the difficult decision to postpone AUSPACK 2021 in Sydney\, and re-schedule the next event for Melbourne 2022. \nAustralian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association (APPMA) Chairman Mark Dingley said\, “With an event of this scale and significance\, the most important factors in our decision were if we held the event in 2021\, the uncertainty around protecting the health and safety of our industry community when it comes together\, and preserving the experience and value that exhibitors and visitors alike receive from attending an event the calibre of AUSPACK. \nJon Perry\, Event Director with organiser Exhibitions & Trade Fairs\, said\, “The last edition of AUSPACK in 2019 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre was a record show. It surpassed all expectations. Melbourne 2022 is ideally placed to provide the scale and breadth of event that this industry needs as it gears up for the post-COVID recovery.” \nMr Perry said exhibitor bookings for 2022 will be managed in a phased approach\, focusing firstly on exhibitors who are currently booked into 2021 and those who regularly exhibit in Melbourne. He said exhibitors will be contacted directly by November 17th about their options\, while new bookings for the 2022 show will be open in late January 2021.

SUMMARY:Victorian TAFE Patisserie Challenge 2021
DESCRIPTION:The Victorian TAFE Patisserie Competition will go ahead in 2021\, with a date locked in and an exciting new format. \nOn Thursday\, July 8\, students will compete at the Chisholm Institute of TAFE Dandenong\, making products in three categories to be judged: \n\nCake\nChoux Pastries\nTart\n\nContact patisserie teacher Franck Poirier at Chisholm Institute for more information. \nThe brainchild of Guido Pozzebon\, a patisserie trainer at Holmesglen TAFE\, the inaugural challenge in 2019 allowed the four teams of two students to showcase their skills and complete to see who would earn the title of the best patisserie students in the state. Passionate about giving the next generation of pastry chefs opportunities to grow and showcase all they have learned\, Guido was inspired to invite other schools to complete. \n“What we discovered was that there was plenty of competitions for baking or cookery students\, but a lack of opportunities for patisserie students. So after eighteen months of planning\, we managed to get the competition off the ground”\, he said at the time. \nThe competition was a great success and the Victorian TAFE Patisserie Challenge committee\, led by Franck Poirier of Chisholm Institute\, believes it will only go from strength to strength.
